You thought nothing would change. You not only married your best friend, but you lived together before you were married. You were so in love that you couldn’t wait to make it through the day. Now life feels like the movie Ground Hog Day. Each of you seems to become someone else when you fight. One of you can’t stop from criticizing. The other defends and runs away. Both of you want to do it differently, but you don’t know how. The distance between you is starting to grow so quickly. Secretly you fear, or maybe you know, there is something wrong with you and your relationship. How does everyone else’s relationship seem so effortless while yours is so hard?
I help couples transform the way they see themselves, one another, and conflict. Through working with me, couples learn to lean into their fights, risk sharing their fears, and deepen their intimacy and connection. You started a new journey started the moment you said, “I do.” Let me help you learn to travel together.

What can you expect from our Counseling sessions?
Entering counseling is a challenging and exciting experience. Like all good relationships, I believe that a counseling relationship starts slowly with time spent on getting to know one another. Your initial three to four sessions will be a time of exploring your life journey, expanding upon your hopes and desires for counseling, and collaborating on ways that counseling can assist you in achieving your desires. As we proceed, sessions include conversation, silence, and questions with the options of including more holistic and integrative modalities.
